Terms & Conditions

Last updated 28 July 2026

By using Payslip Studio you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. What the service is

Payslip Studio is a free, browser-based document designer. It takes figures and text that you enter, lays them out in one of four templates, and hands the result to your browser's print dialog. It is a formatting tool.

It is explicitly not:

2. Honest use only. You may use Payslip Studio only to produce documents that are true, and only for an organisation you are authorised to act for.

You must not use it to create, alter or distribute any pay document that is false or misleading — including fabricating income for a loan, visa, tenancy, benefit or credit application, impersonating an employer, or forging a signature, seal or company mark you do not have the right to use. In many jurisdictions that is fraud or forgery and carries criminal liability. It is your conduct and your risk, entirely.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Availability

The service is provided free of charge, "as is", with no promise of uptime. It may be changed, moved or withdrawn at any time without notice. Templates and layouts may be revised; a slip you generate today may not look identical if you regenerate it later. Keep your own copy of anything you need — export the JSON and save the PDF.

5. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the output is accurate, complete, legally sufficient, or fit for any official, regulatory or evidentiary purpose.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service — including data lost from browser storage, a document that was wrong, rejected or disputed, or any regulatory or legal consequence of a slip you issued. Since the service is free, no aggregate liability beyond what applicable law makes non-excludable is accepted.

7. Your data

We do not receive your payslip data at all — it stays in your browser. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture. You are solely responsible for keeping backups; clearing your browser storage deletes your work permanently and we cannot recover it.

8. Intellectual property

The Payslip Studio source code is released under the MIT licence — you may copy, modify and self-host it, including commercially, provided the licence notice is kept. The documents you generate are yours; we claim no rights in them. The bundled sample signature and stamp are generic specimens marked "SAMPLE" and are provided for demonstration only.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore, Punjab shall have jurisdiction — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you enjoy where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated; the "last updated" date will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
