Why Payslip Studio exists

Small teams and freelancers rarely need a full payroll suite — they need one clean, professional salary slip, this month, without signing up for anything. Most free tools online ask you to upload employee names, national ID numbers and salary figures to a server you know nothing about. That felt like the wrong trade.

So Payslip Studio does the whole job in the browser. Your data never leaves the tab: it is held in local storage, rendered to an A4 page by CSS, and printed by your own browser. There is no backend to leak, because there is no backend at all.

What it does

• Four print-ready templates — Ledger, Corporate, Minimal and Slate. Switch freely; your data carries over.
• Your own branding — upload a logo, an authorised signature and a company stamp, with size, rotation and opacity controls.
• Every detail is a form field — company block, pay period, employee record, unlimited earnings and deductions, sign-off captions and footer notes.
• Works anywhere — any currency code, 0 or 2 decimals, Western (1,250,000) or South Asian (12,50,000) grouping, and amount-in-words in either lac/crore or thousand/million.
• One-click PDF — the page is laid out as a true A4 sheet, so printing gives you a clean single page.

The stack

Deliberately plain: hand-written HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, with no framework, no bundler and no dependencies. The whole app is a handful of files served as static assets from Vercel, which is why it loads instantly and runs offline once cached. The source is MIT licensed — clone it, rebrand it, self-host it.
